WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS
Below is a list of our ingredients. Because it is required by the FDA that the ingredients be listed by their scientific names, sometimes it's hard to know clean ingredients from those that are not so clean. We have provided you with the scientific name of each ingredient, it’s commonly used name, along with the nutritional benefit it provides to your dog. We wanted to be transparent about what’s in our food and explain it in a way that is easy to understand.
Peas
An excellent source of carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and many essential vitamins and minerals.
Hydrolyzed Salmon
A highly digestible source of protein. Produced naturally when fresh salmon goes through enzymatic hydrolysis. This process breaks apart the protein molecules so that it minimizes pets' adverse food reactions.
Brown Rice
Whole grain brown rice ground to a powder to help provide a steady supply of energy throughout the day. Source of fiber, carbohydrates and vitamin B.
Chickpeas
Also known as garbanzo beans, they are rich in nutrients and can provide a number of health benefits.
REVIEWS
Boston Terrier approved
My sweet Boston has had so many ear infections. She has been on Open Farm for 6 years. Since eating Voyager for 2 months, her ears have been excellent. I am in the process of introducing this food to my rescue from Mexico. It's a long process since her stomach is sensitive to any changes in her diet.
Small breed Baily Schnoodle
Our dog daughter Baily (tiny Schnoodle) has been on Open Farm dog food for 3 years. Recent blood work along with her liver biopsy shows she has elevated liver enzymes copper storage from Open Farm dog food. We just purchased this brand hopeful her liver heals and her elevated liver enzymes reverse along with the medications she was prescribed. Thank you Voyager for creating a safe dog food with no chelated copper. Warm regards, Rebecca & Thad
A little spendy, but well worth it!
My vet thought my dog was suffering from copper storage disease so while he was in the process of diagnosis, I found Voyager dog food. Turns out both of my bro/sis dogs are actually gluten intolerant (Spike's Disease) which caused them both major health issues including IVDD that required expensive surgery, liver failure, canine epileptoid cramping syndrome, allergies and messy poop. Now that they are both eating Voyager Sensitive Skin & Stomach, their health has rebounded! The food is not inexpensive, but it has saved me a lot of money in vet bills. Highly recommended!
Best Decision Ever!
I will sing Voyager's praises to anyone who will listen. Our Coco has been plagued with food sensitivities since she was four months old. One vet remarked how she always had a yeasty smell... We tried several prescription foods, including hydrolyzed products. Antibiotics, countless types of ear drops and wipes. We worked with a nutritionist and cooked for her. After less than a month, she is a new dog! Her ears are perfectly healthy for the first time in her four years. Thank you, thank you Voyager for giving her the quality of life she may never otherwise have had.
Excellent Food
One of my dogs was diagnosed with Copper Storage disease so after a ton of research, I found Voyager, one of the few (if not only), non prescription dog foods that is good for dogs with this disease. My other dogs are also on it because they have a mix of allergies and sensitive stomachs so this food is perfect for them all. Autoship is a great feature and ensures I don’t run out. Highly recommend!
My dog deserves the best
Lil Gunner is very active and Voyager sustains his daily life activities. He is a grazer so he eats whenever he is hungry. He loves his Voyager food. Great people to work with. Shipments are always on time.
Awesome food
We have been feeding our lab this food since day one and it makes his coat look absolutely stunning! He is very food sensitive and this salmon diet has helped tremendously with that! I recommend voyager dog food every time he gets a compliment!
